Video submissions may be uploaded using the entry system, or sent on broadcast quality Beta or DVD to:

Please ensure all hard copies have included a print out of your entry form with your tape or DVD, and label the media with your entry number.

All video spots that are uploaded online must be submitted as demuxed MPEG2 (separate files for audio and video) DVD quality files and adhere to the specifications below:

Please ensure both files have the same name. (eg: myfile.m2v and myfile.aif)

Video File Extension: .m2v

  • Type: MPEG-2 video elementary stream
  • Aspect Ratio: 4:3 (standard definition) - Use native aspect for HD
  • Width : 640x480 (standard definition) - Use native size for HD
  • Frame rate: 29.97
  • data rate: 8 (Mbps) (standard definition) or 15 (Mbps) (HD)

Audio Format: 48kHz, 16-bit AIFF stereo audio

  • Stereo (L R), 48.000 kHz

Please ensure that any video files uploaded are of the best possible quality, should you win an award these files will be used at the event to showcase your work on a giant screen. If you are not sure about the quality of your online video files, we recommend that you play it safe and send in a broadcast quality hard copy .
